Ancient Rome: The Definitive Visual History (ISBN 978-0241569566) is a fully illustrated guide tracing the story of Rome from its beginnings as a kingdom, through the Republic and Empire, to its eventual decline. Key topics include political events, cultural developments, military history, and the lives of rulers and citizens, all supported by photographs of artefacts, buildings, and art.

For this project, Luped® Media Research sourced and licensed over 700 images from more than 60 collections. Resources include museums, archives, and specialist agencies. The selected images document the breadth of Roman history and material culture, supporting the book’s narrative across print and digital editions.
Luped managed image research, selection, and rights clearance in line with the publisher’s brief.
