Each building is shown in its entirety with commentary about its design, setting and context when it was built. The variety of buildings and styles featured is fascinating and the publishers efforts to cover buildings from around the world really adds to its interest and helps to ensure there are one of two surprises waiting for you.
Undertaking picture research for a project of this nature using stock, rather than commissioned, photography is never easy. Many buildings featured are in private hands or otherwise inaccessible to the public. Luped picture research liaised directly with architects and the building’s current administrators where possible, and the result are some interesting images of areas rarely seen.
